The song features dubstep and EDM elements. Through its powerful lyrics and haunting sound, “I Am Tracking You” warns listeners about the potential consequences of being monitored through the technology they use on a daily basis.
The threat of spyware has made it into the awareness of the public as governments avail themselves of these tools to spy on journalists, human rights activists and their political opponents.
We wanted to convey a powerful message about the dangers of surveillance and digital privacy invasion. The lyrics serve as a cautionary tale, depicting a world where privacy is threatened by a malicious actor using spyware and hacking tools to gain access to personal information. The song references the notorious NSO Group, a company known for its Pegasus spyware, to highlight the real-world implications of such threats. Our intention with this song is to raise awareness of the ever-present dangers to our digital privacy, reminding listeners to be vigilant in safeguarding their personal information. By doing so, we hope to inspire more discussions and actions around online security and privacy protection.
